Yep, thats right people, AL is back in New Zealand!
So, what happened in Aliveuknz'05?
Day one:
Arrive into Heathrow and get picked up my brother whp takes me to his new house in Southampton. Much warmer and nicer than his old house! And his flatmate Dan is an awesome cook! We had a roast with their friends and I kept falling asleep so went to bed at like 9!
Day two:
Chill for a day in Southamton, notice that the English are less aproachable and friendly than the Kwis, in the main that is. Also noticed a difference in the way English people look, but I cant really say how so....
Day three:
Bath Spa: I use the 1st day on my Brit Rail Pass and see my mate Tim in Bath, had a few drinks, played pool and cought up on life, was cool and I felt like a light weight.
Day four:
Stay in Bath, didnt go out in the evening, just chilled.
Day five:
Went from Bath to Uckfield on the train via London. Stayed the night at Nicks and went out for a curry. Was good to see him, have barely spoken to each other in 18 months.
Day Six:
Skinners Day! My old School's prize giving day, lots of old mates came from their unis to attend. I did not oridgenaly plan to attend the prize giving but then got invited and went despite being underdressed. (Rugby shirt and jeans rather than a suit). Then went out afterwards with mates in Tunbridge Wells, was a great night and really good to catch up with old mates and even old school teachers in the pub!
Day Seven: Stayed another night an Russ's place, went to Speldhusrt to watch fireworks and missed them. Watched DVDs ad Adels instead. Another chilled evening.
Day Eight:
Lunch in Uckfield with Karren, Suzie, (aunts) Matthew, Tom, Daisy (Cousins) and Grandma. Dinner in Battle with Nan, Mike, Kane (another cousin) and Pennie (another aunt). Stayed Night in Hastings with Pennie n Kane.
Day Nine:
Spent day with cousin Kane. Went round Hastings, had a laugh and another Curry.
Day Ten:
Went to Tunbridge Wells and stayed at Luke B's place, was really good to catch up with one of my best mates from the Uk, just didnt seem like long enough!
Day Eleven:
London: Spent Day wondering the streets of London getting lost and going on the Underground! Spent night in a "cheap" hotel (£50 a night for what i got felt really over priced, but at least it was central and next to Charring Cross!
Day twelve:
Oxford: Cought up with Mike B and experinced being a "chav" amoung smart arse, prententious, but oh so nice Oxford Students. Haha Mike enjoy wearing a bow tie to your exams!
Day thirteen:
Southampton: Back to Southamton and my bros for a quick stoper over.
Day Fourteen:
Exter via Salisbury, went to Exter to see family friends but wondered around Salisbury for just over an hour while waiting for trains.
Day fifteen:
Exter and Exmouth, Stayed at family friends place again, went to Exmouth and played Mini golf. as well as Lunch Out.
Day Sixteen:
Exeter to Southampton.
Day Seventeen:
London - Aukland. Newly fitted plane, but felt ill, Glad to be Home.
Yeah so thats What happened Talk to ME! I Am now home again! yay!!
